Dear Residents,
We have several important updates to share. Please take a few minutes to read through this entire email.
UCR STUDENTS – HOUSING IS AVAILABLE
If you are a UCR student and have been displaced from the Iowa Building, there are currently bed spaces available on campus through UCR for the remainder of the semester.
If you need housing, please reach out to UCR Housing immediately and also let our team know. Our goal is to get residents into stable housing solutions as quickly as possible. While we understand many residents have been staying in hotels temporarily, we need to begin transitioning everyone into longer-term arrangements where possible.
Whether that means UCR housing, another apartment, staying with family, or another solution, we need to understand your plans so we can continue assisting residents who still need help.
If you have not already communicated your housing needs to us, please do so as soon as possible. Please use this FORM

Security Deposits & Fire Foundation Assistance
Today we began returning security deposits for Iowa Building residents at:
3993 Iowa AvenueSunrise Village Clubhouse
In addition, the Riverside Firefighters Association, on behalf of the California Fire Foundation, has generously donated $250 SAVE gift cards for displaced Iowa residents.
We have one card available for each named tenant on a lease. These cards must be picked up in person, and we cannot hold them indefinitely. We will continue to be available throughout the week to distribute both security deposits and SAVE cards.
We are incredibly grateful to the Firefighters Association and California Fire Foundation for their support of our residents during this difficult time.
Mail Update
Beginning tomorrow, June 3rd, residents may pick up mail at:
3993 Iowa Avenue Sunrise Village Clubhouse
We currently have mail that was delivered prior to the fire and have arranged a temporary process to ensure residents continue receiving important correspondence.
Iowa Building Residents
If you have not already done so, please visit USPS.com and submit a mail forwarding request immediately.
You will need to provide a forwarding address so that future mail is delivered directly to your new location. Once your forwarding request is processed, mail delivery to the Iowa Building should stop.
Everton Building Residents
For Everton residents, we are working on relocating the mailboxes from their current location and mounting them adjacent to the laundry building.
Once that work is complete, we expect normal mail delivery to resume for Everton residents. We will provide another update when that process is complete.
Important Documents Recovery Form
Many residents have asked about retrieving critical personal documents from units that remain inaccessible.
The remediation company has indicated that there may be circumstances where limited document recovery efforts could be possible in certain areas of the building. At this time, however, no recovery effort has been approved or guaranteed.
To help us prepare if that opportunity becomes available, we have created a Google Form for residents seeking recovery of critical identification or legal documents.
Examples include:
Passports
Driver’s Licenses
Social Security Cards
Birth Certificates
Immigration Documents
Other essential identification records
This form is not for furniture, electronics, clothing, personal belongings, or household items.
Submitting the form does not guarantee that any documents can be recovered. It simply allows us to identify residents who may have urgent document-related needs if limited recovery efforts become possible in the future.
Thank You
We know this has been an incredibly difficult and emotional experience. Every day we are learning more information, coordinating with additional agencies, and working to help residents navigate what comes next.
We appreciate your patience, flexibility, and understanding as we continue working through the recovery process together.
Sincerely,
URG Management.
